For centuries, hemp was one of Britain’s most valued crops — grown across the country and woven into cloth, rope, and sails. In Somerset, near where we live, fields of hemp once shaped both the land and the livelihoods of those who worked it. Then, slowly, it was forgotten — replaced by fibres that were easier to industrialise but far harder on the planet.

We are at an important turning point. After working within the industry for the past decade, we can feel a genuine shift — a growing energy around hemp once again. Across the UK and Europe, interest in cultivating and working with hemp is returning, and we are proud to be part of that renewal. To see hemp woven back into everyday life, valued for its strength, beauty, and respect for the earth.
